A Guide to Kuna, Idaho's local dining scene.

Kuna is one of Idaho’s most rapidly growing cities, with a population that nearly tripled in size from 2000—2010. Originally a railroad stop in the early 1900s, Kuna offers tons of history in a Western setting. Still, the city is modernizing, so take advantage of it while you can — Kuna is going big places.

Enrique’s Mexican

482 W Main St
Kuna, ID 83634

While Enrique’s is good any day of the week, Sunday is the day to go there for first timers. Being the only day they serve their stunning Strawberry Crema with a full buffet, Sundays are a bustling at Enrique’s. For an entree, their Burrito Colorado simply cannot be beat. Served with a side of salad and taco salad, this dish will definitely fill you up. However, be sure to arrive early on Sundays — it isn’t unusual for the line to spread out the doors

Lima Limon Peruvian

751 W 4 St
Kuna, ID 83634

A little forewarning before trying Lima Limon: be careful with their appetizers. They’re amazing, so be sure you don’t fill up too quickly if you’re looking to try one of their signature dishes. The Papa a la Haucaina is mouthwatering. It’s a handful of potato slices served over a creamy cheese sauce and topped with a hardboiled egg and some olive slices for kicks. The seafood chimichanga is to die for. It’s filled with a crab salad and topped with a sour cream sauce and tomatoes after being deep-fried of course.

The Arlene

459 Main St
Kuna, ID 83634

A piano bar with a friendly staff and a beautiful ambience, the Arelene is Kuna’s best place for lounging. The drink specials are great, especially when Boise State University plays. They offer free hotdogs, $1.50, and you can get a cold draft for under a dollar! Arelene’s is divided into three areas: the front room, which is basically a living room with a TV, the bar and a spacious area for pool. After many years, the owner, Arlene, is still the bartender, so expect a family-like atmosphere here.
