Trying to decide on a great form of entertainment for a party or event that you are planning can be a very tricky affair, especially if that event is for children. Trick such as pulling the long, tied together, colored scarves out from their sleeves or anything involving a rubber chicken is guaranteed to garner great laughs from the children at your party.

Now, I know what you're thinking: you can't get a clown because children find clowns scary. Well, many times the reason children find clowns scary is because of scary depictions of clowns in cartoons or movies, but actually clowns aren't scary at all! Clowns are kind, engaging, and will absolutely not be abusive to anyone. Clowns are only interested in having fun and making sure everyone they're entertaining has fun as well. Professional clowns are also aware that clowns have a stigma about them, so they know when to back off on a child that's showing fear.

A clown is a great addition to any child's party because they are extremely versatile. If, for example, you hire the clown for a child's birthday party, they can do their performance in front of the whole group of children, with the birthday boy or girl as the main attraction and “assistant.” Alternatively, if it is a big party, such as a family reunion with children peppered throughout the venue, the clown can roam around the party and give more personal performances.
